Moncrieff Recreation Park

This new multi-purpose facility was designed for the Moncrieff community, combining a range of sporting activities with play and recreation for all ages. Indesco was involved from inception as Civil Engineer during Estate Development Plans, through to detailed design and Construction Phase Services. The award-winning outcome is a highly patronised community park and playground.

The park includes onsite parking, kickabout areas, a playground, picnic and BBQ facilities, as well as badminton, basketball and volleyball courts. This unique site with its sloping characteristics required an extensive number of concrete and terraced walls to make full use of the site.

The design was motivated by a fundamental objective to inspire the community to get out and get moving. The outcome is a widely applauded project for the ACT Government which has been embraced by the wider community.

The Indesco design and construction teams worked closely with the landscape architect and client to deliver this landmark project for the Moncrieff Community.
