Monaro Highway Improvements

Indesco was engaged to provide construction phase services for several safety improvements to two separate sections of the Monaro Highway which were identified in a black spot study in 2017 following several fatal and serious injury crashes. The works include construction of new road pavements, stormwater, kerbs, concrete island, line marking and TCD’s, on road cycle provisions, verge side safety barriers, resealing works, and landscaping. Indesco were also engaged to undertake design work for safety upgrades to an intersection to the south of the site, at Williamsdale Road.

Given the location of the works on Monaro Highway, the traffic volumes as well as accident history, two key areas of focus throughout the construction of the project are traffic management and safety. The Indesco Superintendent team, including onsite personnel, are working closely with both the Contractor and Client to ensure that this is always closely monitored and managed.
