Molonglo 2 Group Centre and Environs

The Molonglo 2 Group Centre and Environs is a greenfield development area that will serve as the principle commercial centre of the Molonglo Valley, a new district of Canberra that is planned to accommodate around 55,000 people over a 30 year period.

The Molonglo Valley is around 7.5 kilometres to the west of Canberra’s city centre. Indesco formed part of the consultant team (lead by Hames Sharley and Ross Bonnthorne) and was responsible for masterplanning of the engineering infrastructure to serve the proposed group centre.

In a highly collaborative approach, Indesco worked closely with the urban designers and landscape designers to produce an integrated urban design outcome.
