Catalina Development, Batemans Bay
At Catalina Development in Batemans Bay, we provided comprehensive structural engineering services for a multi-unit development project located in the Australian Capital Territory. Our scope of works included designing an ultrafloor system, shoring, value engineering, temporary works, and tilt-up panel shop drawings.
One of the biggest challenges of this project was the extremely soft soil on the site, which required a banded raft slab design for the foundations. We prioritised constructability and speed throughout the project, while also ensuring the safety and durability of the structure.
To achieve these goals, we combined on-site tilt-up with prefabricated modular stressed planks for the upper levels, which reduced the need for multiple trades. This innovative approach not only saved time but also improved efficiency, resulting in a high-quality finished product.
