Alterations and additions to the existing residential complex. The existing structure consists of load bearing masonry walls and timber framed flooring. The project included retention of the existing masonry walls that require underpinning for the construction of a new basement.
The vertical structure was insitu concrete columns and walls providing the lateral resistance to earthquake and wind loading.
Post tension slabs where utilised for the floor systems allowing large spans to the units and cater for the large cantilevered balconies.
