Urban renewal at The Precinct, Red Hill

The Precinct, Red Hill

In a major change to the leafy Red Hill suburb, the City Renewal Authority has recently redeveloped the Red Hill Public Housing Precinct. The Precinct Red Hill is a 53,002m2 inner city urban development representing one of the ACT’s largest properties offered to the market.

Indesco has been involved in the project for a number of years, acting as the Principal’s Authorised Person during the demolition of the current buildings, preparing the civil and landscape designs for the public infrastructure and working with a multi-disciplined team to prepare the Estate Development Plans.

The site was occupied by a multi-unit public housing complex constructed in 1960. Demolition and remediation is now complete. The project has been part of the Asset Recycling Initiative agreement with the Commonwealth Government that provides funding for public infrastructure investment.
