This boutique project incorporates three carpark basements, two retail floors and five residential floors. The distinctive front facade of the building consists of unique balcony profiles.
• The structural design was challenging due to the large internal open space envisage by the architects.
• The architectural form for the font balconies required design and analysis to be carried out using 3D finite element modelling.
• As the site is ‘locked in’ from three of the four boundaries, early detailed coordination of structural design concepts with other consultants was required in order to complete the design successfully. 3D prints of the balconies were completed to aid in the coordination.
