Lawson is the largest parcel of undeveloped residential land in Belconnen. It is well located in relation to the facilities and services in the Belconnen Town Centre, the recreational opportunities provided by Lake Ginninderra and its surrounding open spaces; and the close proximity to public transport and higher education facilities at the University of Canberra and the Canberra Institute of Technology.
The southern section of Lawson (Lawson South) occupies approximately 100 hectares which was undeveloped Territory Land.
Indesco was commissioned by the LDA to prepare detailed design documents and construction tender documentation for all landscape works associated with the estate. The detailed design documents include drawings and a design intent report (including aesthetic design intent and proposed treatments eg. materials, colours, textures, a playground hierarchy based on various user age groups, park furniture and miscellaneous equipment, plant schedule, specifications and cost estimate), relating to all landscape elements.
Indesco has subsequently been appointed to provide construction phase services (contract administration and construction surveillance) for the implementation of the landscape works.
